We have had another busy week in 1G. We have really settled into our new routines and we have all enjoyed our first week of Guided Reading. We are in different groups and we have all had the opportunity to read with Mrs Garland, write and read our tricky words with Miss Mayhew and share some books with our friends.
In Maths we have been counting up to 20 and beyond as well as sequencing numbers. Sometimes we have even had to count backwards....it can be very tricky but we have all persevered.
In English we have continued to learn about Knuffle Bunny and we have written our own recounts of when we lost a favourite toy. There were some very sad stories but lots of them had a happy ending!
We were very lucky to have Mrs Beaumont, our school librarian, join us on Wednesday afternoon. She helped some of us to make dream catchers for the BFG display in the Key Stage 1 library. Please go and have a look if you get the chance. The rest of us will make dream catchers next week. Here are some of out finished ones.
