In Maths for the last two weeks we have been learning how to add. We have practised two ways to solve addition sums.
Here is an example of how we add using the empty number line. We try really hard to draw a straight line. We add our tens and then our units. We imagine that each 'jump' is a frog jumping along the line adding numbers!
Here is an example of when we add using 'partitioning'. This is when we add the tens numbers first. Then we add the units. Then we add the tens and units together to find the total.
To challenge ourselves and use our knowledge of addition in a different way, we played a game called Totality. Working with a partner, we had to make as few moves as possible to get to the number 20.

Welcome to 3C! On this page, you can see all of the hard work we do whilst at school. We hope you feel proud of our efforts because we feel proud of ourselves!
