In English this week we have been reading Stick Man and thinking about his exciting adventure. There are lots of interesting words we can use in our own writing.

2D sharing assembly
Come to our 2D sharing assembly on Friday 30th September at 2.45pm and see what else we have been learning about. We are very excited about showing you everything!
We have been very busy as usual this week in 2D. On Wednesday we had a special tennis coaching session. We really enjoyed learning new tennis skills! The weather was VERY hot so we made sure we wore our sunhats and had LOTS to drink.
In Science we have been learning about keeping healthy. We have found out there are 3 ways to do this.
We lay down on the floor and drew around our bodies. Then we wrote down lots of different ways to keep our bodies healthy. It was great fun!
In Art we have been looking at Aboriginal paintings. We found out that Aboriginal people painted pictures using dots. They painted using earthy colours too. Ask your child if they can remember why?
We have made pictures in the same style. We used cotton buds to paint the dots.
In 2D we have been thinking about Growth Mindset. Read the KS1 page to find out more about it. It means we keep on trying even when work is tricky. We persevere and we don't say "I can't do it!" We say "I can't do it YET!" Here is a display in our classroom that shows how we challenged ourselves to improve our drawings.
We are 3D!
