It certainly has been a busy day today, a visit from the Easter Bunny, watching the Singing Squad and so many adults came to the stay and play. Here is a sample of photos taken today.
Have a Great Easter!
We have had a very busy term with lots of fun still to come with the Easter Bonnet Parade & Assembly this afternoon and the Stay & Play afternoon on Friday. After the holiday our new topic is 'Lights, Camera, Action'. We will use different movies an inspiration for our learning. The first week back we are thinking about the Lego movie. Show & Tell on Wednesday 19th April will be 'Your favourite movie'. Please bring a dvd, book or toy from your favourite movie to talk about.
Next term there will be a new reading incentive where the children can earn prizes by reading regularly to a grown-up at home. We always find that the children that read 5 or more times a week at home make quicker progress than those who read less often.
Happy Easter, from the panda class staff.
This afternoon we visited the Secret Garden with our clip boards and wrote a list of all the things we could see. We used our phonics to help us write any words we were unsure of.
It was great to see the children so engrossed in what they were doing and the result was some great writing!
Please sign up for the Stay and Play on Friday 31st March. The fun will start at 2.15 and has a Spring/Easter theme. Unfortunately there are 29 children in the class now and this means we can only accommodate one adult per child and no siblings.
This Wednesday is the last show and tell for the term and the theme is Easter/Spring. So bring in one small object related to Easter or Spring.
Next week we are learning about Mother's Day and Easter. We will be using creative techniques to create cards and celebration eggs.
