We received a letter from one of Santa's Elves this morning asking for our help. Whilst in the Secret Garden he had lost 23 golden pinecones and couldn't find them, could we help? Well of course we could!
We went to the Secret Garden and searched high and low........
We finally found all 23 cones and when we returned to the classroom the Elves had left us a tasty treat to thank us for all our hard work!
A great time was had by all, with an exciting coach trip and then a great show that was full of funny moments!
The sounds we are learning this week are ee, igh & oa. Show and Tell tomorrow is Christmas themed. Please remember to bring a white sock tomorrow for our craft. So far we only have enough socks for about 4 children to make a snowman!
Thank you to all the adults who came to the Christmas crafts afternoon, a great time was had by all. If you couldn't make it yesterday there will be another opportunity to stay and play next year.
We have been very busy making some fantastic salt dough decorations for parents to buy at the christmas fayre on Friday. Every child has made a snowman, a christmas tree and a star. Please come along to the classroom to buy your ornaments after school. There are plenty of other stalls and activities to explore too, all around the school.
This week we have been thinking about friendship, during circle time. What makes a good friend and how to make new friends. The children shared their thoughts on how to help a friend who was in need of help.
It can be daunting for some children to talk infront of a large group, but all of the children contributed something to the discussion! Well done!
