Our Science Topic this term is Master Chefs. This week we have been talking about safety and hygiene rules. We knew that Chefs wore hats so we decided to put all of our rules on our hats. This way we will not forget them when we are cooking or dealing with food.
Next week we are going to see what happens when we leave bread for a long time. What is your prediction?
In Science we have been looking at living things and their habitats. We know when something is living because it does all of these things below:
- Eat and drink
- Go to the toilet
This afternoon we made our very own pebble pet but our pebble pets are not living because they do not do any of the above things. On Monday we are going to persuade people to buy our pebble pets instead of a living pet...... Can you think of some good reasons why people should buy our pebble pets than real pets?
We loved showing you all that we have been learning in class. We also got our 6th attendance award woohooo! We are feeling very proud!
Come and see what we have been learning in class 2K this Friday at 9:10am. Head to the main office to be let in.
We look forward to seeing your all there.
As most of you know we are learning about the Great Fire of London. We have really enjoyed this week because we have been lucky enough to have been made TWO cakes from children. One was from Maia in the shape of a house and Max made a cake with Samuel Pepys and his diary sitting on the top. Both very delicious. Thank you very much.
In P.E. we have been putting together a dance which tells the story of what happened in the fire. Here are some pictures of us rehearsing. We can not wait to show you the final dance next week at our class assembly.
2K have had a brilliant start to 2018. We have come back very grown up and mature. All children are trying their very best.... especially in Maths where we have started learning about multiplication.
We began by finding equal groups of a number i.e. 4 equal groups of 2. Then we moved on to repeated addition 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 4 lots of 2 = 8.
We are using lots of new vocabulary when multiplying:
-equal groups of

This term we have been learning about the weather. As our topic outcome we have to create our very own weather forecast (just like on TV). We made puppets in DT to help us present our forecasts.
First we had to colour in our animals, then carefully cut out along the black lines. We had to choose which part of our puppet we wanted to move. Next we put a whole and split pin to make our moving part.
Have a look at the pictures of us making our puppets and performing our Weather Forecasts.
Thank you to every one who came to our Christmas production. We hope you enjoyed it. All of the children are feeling very proud of themselves. I can definitely say they have ALL grown in confidence over the last month. Well done 2K
Ho Ho Ho!
