During Art Day yesterday we designed and made a 'wheeled vehicle' each. We had to think carefully about the materials we needed and how to make wheels that would actually turn. This was very challenging but of course we persevered and didn't give up! Thank you very much to all the grown ups who came to help. We hope you had as much fun as we did! Have a look at some of our finished products:
If your photo is not here it will be posted after the holidays! Happy Easter everyone!
We have been practising telling the time again this week and we are feeling very proud of ourselves! Well done to all of you who completed the telling the time challenge homework! Guillermo even made his own clock at home. What a super idea Guillermo!
Yet another busy week has passed in 2D! We are very proud of all the topic homework we have completed so far. The results are displayed in the Year 2 corridor and here are some examples of our work. Well done to all of you who joined in with creating these projects with such enthusiasm. The results look really great!
For our 'career link visitor' this term we were very excited to invite Mr Bark into our classroom. He works on the London Underground and told us ALL about keeping safe in the tunnels and especially Fire Safety. It reminded us of some of the lessons people learnt from the Fire of London in 1666 - people have to learn from their mistakes! He let us try on all his safety clothes and told us LOTS of interesting facts!
We had great fun on Thursday dressing up as our favourite book characters! Can you recognise who we all came as? This week has been very busy all round. We have been working very hard in Read Write Inc and it is helping us improve our reading and writing already!
Finally we had our class assembly today. Well done 2D - I felt extremely proud of you all and I am sure your families did too!
We are 3D!
