Well done 2D! You performed a wonderful assembly without having ANY rehearsals! We were so busy showing our important visitors how hard we work, we didn't have any time! Some of you felt a little bit nervous but you were VERY brave and 'had a go'! Lots of people had to read sentences they had not seen until 5 minutes before the performance! Your singing was beautiful and you played instruments with perfect timing. You were resilient and you should feel VERY proud of yourselves! I am sure your grown ups will agree with me!
In maths today we made pictographs. We used the pictures on the graph to show how many people used each type of transport on a journey. Look carefully because the key may change! Sometimes 1 picture represents 1 person. At other times the picture may represent 2 people. We challenged ourselves and made up questions to help you interpret the pictograph. Can you answer them?
In maths we have been using a new strategy called the 'Bar Method' to help us solve maths word problems. It felt a bit tricky at first but we are already getting the hang of it! It is simply a method to help us visualise how to solve calculations and decide which operation to use! Look at these examples:
We are 3D!
