As part of a whole school E-safety day, 3R have been very busy learning about E-safety today.
We started the day learning about personal information. We came up with a list of what it includes; your name, age, date of birth, place of birth, address, where you go to school and many more!
We then discussed which people we meet or see on a daily basis and sorted these people into categories of who could and couldn't have our personal information.
I was really impressed with their thoughtful responses as some children said well 'sometimes they can have my personal information' or 'I would tell some of my friends some information but not all of them' showing that they were understanding there are exceptions depending upon the situation.
Once we had discussed how to keep safe online, the children created wonderful comic strips highlighting the key points of E-safety. They worked really hard on this as you can see below!
Recently, we have been working together to help us learn.
In Literacy, we have been reading the second half of 'A Bus of Our Own' and have read the book in partners. This is really useful when we come across a tricky word as our partner might be able to help!
In Maths, the children have been working in pairs to subtract numbers using place value counters. It was useful having a partner to double check we have counted up correctly!
Finally, in Science the children worked in pairs to make a 'Moon Lander'. This was very exciting but the children kept focussed and worked well as a team to make a Moon Lander using only cardboard, sellotape, straws and a plastic cup! Well done 3R.
