It’s hard to believe that we are nearing the end of Year 4 and that soon the children will be in UKS2! It seems like only yesterday that I joined Team Rushmere and met the wonderful children in 4B. I feel very fortunate to have been their teacher this year; it has been a real pleasure to witness all their achievements. Together we have experienced many enjoyable moments and I hope that we made many memories that will last a lifetime. I am so incredibly proud of the motivated, enthusiastic and resilient learners that 4B have become. Every single child has flourished this year and worked their socks off. I would also like to express my thanks for the generous end of year gifts you bestowed upon me this week-I feel very spoilt. Here are the pictures of our final week as 4B. We enjoyed:-
As part of their topic work, 4B visited West Stow (Anglo-Saxon village) in Suffolk. The children had a thoroughly enjoyable day handling artefacts and exploring the re-created village. Dressed in Anglo-Saxon style cloaks, they were put to work and learnt about the daily lives of Anglo-Saxons. The staff at the museum commented that they were very impressed with our inquisitive children. 4B answered all the questions, were very engaged and impeccably well-behaved.
This blog will be regularly updated by Mrs Lees and Mrs Cook and the talented children in 5CL.
