Thank you to those of you who were able to come along to the Meet the Teacher meeting last week - it was great to meet you.
For those of you who were unable to attend, I have attached the 'Meet the Teacher' presentation which has lots of useful information on it so please do have a read.
We are looking at recruiting some parent volunteers, especially to help with hearing children read. If you think you might be able to help out or would like to know more, please do get in touch.
We have had a very busy first week in 3R.
We have settled into our new class and got to know the new routines in KS2.
Our first Literacy lessons were 'Space' themed as we read a book called 'The Man on the Moon'. We were surprised to read that Bob worked on the moon and we enjoyed writing an advert encouraging people to visit the Moon.
We have had a taste of our first Design and Technology topic and had to guess why Miss Redgrave brought an onion into school... We managed to work out that the onion (skin) was representing natural packaging. We are looking forward to designing and building our own packaging later this term.
We have learnt more about fixed and growth mindsets. We have all set our own goals on what we would like to achieve this year.
Thank you for reading - have a great weekend.
