Hello again. I meant to mention that our work on the school's learning words led us to a song on youtube. It stars a very young Bruno Mars and the puppets from Sesame Street in a happy song about never giving up no matter how hard things get. Obviously this is a message that we want the children to really believe in so to that end we are trying to learn it in order to sing it to the school next Thursday (a week today). It would really help if you encouraged your child to have a practice at home as our singing is rather lacking in oomph at the moment.
The link to the song is https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=youtube+bruno+mars+don%27t+give+up+lyrics&view=detail&mid=EDD5DBFBC58D03C492B1EDD5DBFBC58D03C492B1&FORM=VIRE
and it is a fun song to sing.
Next week for our 'performance' it would be lovely if the children could wear some sort of deeley bopper (please google it if you are not old enough to remember these!) if you have any at home - don't worry if you don't possess any.
I shall look forward to singing along with the children next week - and with my voice they need to sing up to drown me out.
