Evacuation day brought history to life!
4B stepped into the shoes of their WW2 persona today as they experienced evacuation. The children were able to picture themselves in the past and empathise with evacuees as they were sent to the safety of the countryside away from the threat of bombs. Some year 4s found it quite a traumatic time being separated from their loved ones while others felt it was an exciting adventure. Thank you to the parents who were able to stay and bid farewell to the children. What an enormous effort you put into your costumes, suitcases and gas mask boxes as well!
