Thank you to the parents who were able to attend the Meet the Teacher session on Monday. It was lovely to meet you all and put a face to a name! If you were unable to attend, I shall put the PPT with all the information I shared during the session on the 4B blog page next week. It has been another busy week for 4B. Even though we worked in sweltering heat, the children’s enthusiasm for learning never faltered.
All the children should now have brought home their individual reading books and diaries. During guided reading, Year 4 visited the library in order to choose a book.
In Science this week, 4B completed some super scientist challenges to explore the concept of sound and how sound travels. We had a great time using Slinkys to demonstrate how sound travels in longitudinal waves. The coat hanger, string and spoon experiment caused many a vibration. Our drama work, that focussed on vibrations, particles and how sound is created, will be uploaded in due course. More cool vibration experiments are to be carried out next week. Watch this space!
