We have had a wonderful week exploring being reflective for our Growth Mindset day. Everyone had an opportunity to think about being reflective. We wrote a story, explored ways to improve our attitude to learning and we took lots of photos for our display. We hope you enjoy them. Until next time ...
Homework has been coming in thick and fast. We have eaten coconut bread, cheese and tomato bread, chocolate chip bread and more. Shakespearian language has been analysed and views about making a protest have been made. Well done to all those enthusiastic and conscientious members of 5R. You are a credit to Rushmere Hall.
Apologies for implying in the last blog that we had Mr Castell for sport this term. The children will be doing dance.
I have attached a range of photos showcasing our cam-toys. Also, a few pictures from our wonderful Class Christmas Party. I was so very impressed with the how polite and couteous all of the children were during the party. We all had such fun. Thank you for your contribution.
We are working very hard on fractions this term. Encourage your child to explain all about it.
All comments on our blog are welcome.
Some very enthusisastic pupils have already completed homework tasks. Bread making is very popular. Kayleigh Mattocks, however, did some super research on Shakespearian language.
Happy New Year to you all!
Another term with lots happening! We are starting our Mayan Topic in History, Fractions in Maths and we will be reading 'March On', a biography of Martin Luther King, in English. Spellings will be sent home every Friday and a test will take place the following Friday. Please encourage your child to learn them. Times tables need to be learned and the children are encouraged to accept the challenge of learning all the tables up to 12.
There is no swimming this Term but 5R will resume swimming in the Summer Term. Please make sure P.E. kits are brought in for the Tuesday lesson with Mr. Castell. Please, please, please can you send an 'Art' apron in with your child (this doesn't apply to those who have already done so).
The Christmas Fair stall was a great success and raised £58 for 5R. A fantastic effort and all credit to the whole class who worked hard coming up with ideas to make money. We are entrepreneurs!
Thank you for all your support
6P will be keeping you informed of all the exciting things we are doing in class. Keep logging on to read our blogs.
