Dear Parents, Carers and Children,
This is my final blog! Next term the lovely Mr Plowman will be taking the class and I know that both he and your children will have a wonderful time. I have enjoyed every minute of my time with 5R and we have all learned together.
The Maya topic has been such fun and I attach a few photos of the wonderful dance choreographed by the pupils whilst wearing their incredible masks. I apologise for the poor photography - it was hard to capture.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your support.
What a day we have had. Thank you to all the parents who came in to help. We couldn't have done it without you. The Maya masks are stunning and I have attached a picture of everyone wearing their mask. I am so impressed with the class - they are a credit to you.
We also made corn bread in DT as part of our Maya topic. We ate it hot with golden syrup and everyone (bar one) thought it was delicious. It certainly smelled delicious.
We have had such a lovely day.
We have been having fun with Romeo and Juliet. On the little stage, each child has acted out a character from the Shakespearian play. It was very amusing and everyone got right into the part. Hopefully we'll get to do even more drama before the end of term.
The costumes for our book characters have been both creative and fun. Some were a little subtle BUT nonetheless well done to all who participated. The potato characters are a treat and photos are attached. Thank you all for making it such an enjoyable day. We have worked very hard this week .... please ask your child to explain what they have been doing in Maths - the decimals! Thank you.
6P will be keeping you informed of all the exciting things we are doing in class. Keep logging on to read our blogs.
