Apologies for not writing a blog last week, but it has been so hectic lately and the arrival of Ofsted certainly didn't make things easier!
In Science, we have been investigating different materials by making boats and then testing their durability. Although our predictions were mostly accurate, there were a couple of surprises!
Continuing with the Science theme, we had an amazing time when we visited Northgate for a Science lesson this week. It gave the children a real taste of what Science has to offer when they transfer there in Year 7, as we were in the laboratories experimenting with liquid nitrogen! Everyone was so enraptured with the lesson that I think they could have kept Mr Snowdon occupied with questions for another hour at least!
The second sports day that we had on Wednesday was a great success and I was really impressed with the sportsmanship that 5S displayed in the way they supported each other, their commitment to racing in difficult (hot) conditions and their general sporting conduct. Well done everyone!
The children have been brilliant and are still working so hard as we are busy trying to make sure that we complete all of the projects and units of work that we currently working on... keep going everyone, only two more weeks to go!
