I would like to say 'THANK YOU' for taking time out of your busy day to come and watch and cheer Koalas on their sports day, the turn out was amazing! I would also like to say how proud I am of their achievements, they really gave it their all, had lots fun; I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon! (hope they sleep well tonight ;)) They have been practicing lots in their PE lessons and fine tuning their skills for today and it has definitely paid off!! Everyone ran AMAZINGLY in the races they really pushed their own personal goals, I really couldn't be any prouder. I would like to congratulate Summer for receiving silver (2nd) in the girls race and Oliver for receiving gold (1st) in the boys race a lovely way to end the week.
This week we have been learning about estimation, having a sensible guess when greeted with a group of objects, we have learnt 'what is a sensible guess?' 'too few' 'too many' I was amazed at how close their estimations were during the activities. We have been continuing to develop our knowledge on story mountains, by structuring the story 'Sharing a shell' . We also received our first postcard from one of our friends on holiday, it was VERY exciting to receive a postcard and hear our friends news! In other exciting news, Koalas took part in the 'swimathon' in their swimming lesson this week and managed an AMAZING 10 widths of the pool!!!! How amazing are Koalas this week!! Please can all sponsor monies and forms be collected in for next week!
