We know that many small businesses are under extra pressure this year due to Covid and multiple lockdowns. Our Virtual Christmas Fayre is a chance for those within the Rushmere Community to advertise their services and sell their products virtually. This is earlier than our normal Christmas Fayre and is designed to allow the businesses more time to source, make, create the products that you order. Enjoy browsing! |

We have some brilliant prizes in our Christmas Raffle this year, all donated by the Rushmere Hall community.
Tickets are £1 per strip and can be purchased at the following times: MONDAY 30th NOVEMBER – FRIDAY 4th DECEMBER – Raffle tickets available to buy on the playgrounds before school. MONDAY 7th DECEMBER – THURSDAY 10th DECEMBER – Raffle tickets available to buy from the school office The draw will take place on Friday 11th December and winners will be notified by ParentMail. All proceeds raised will be used to buy books and resources for each class in the school. |
Advent Boxes - Revealed each day in the lead up to ChristmasEach day in school a pupil will be invited to open another door on the giant advent calendar in our entrance hall area. Behind each window will be a box decorated with a festive scene produced by a particular class. Each class will have their own box. The website will be update daily to show what was inside each of the opened boxes.

Wednesday 16th Dec – CHRISTMAS PARTY LUNCH
The kitchen are producing a portable Christmas themed lunch that can be delivered to the classrooms for children to enjoy. There will be Christmas classics playing on the stereo, and children will have crackers provided to make their Christmas lunch go with a bang! If you do not want your child to have a Christmas cracker, please let the class teacher know. |

This year we are going to create a whole school virtual nativity. Every year group will be contributing in some way to the final production which will be uploaded to the school website in the final week of term. Some year groups will be singing, some will be playing instruments, some will be performing, some have produced the backdrops and freeze frames and some will deliver the readings. |

Friday 18th December – CLASS PARTIES 1:30pm – 3pm
Class Teachers will purchase all food items for the party. -Pupils make a £1 contribution to party food which will be purchased in advance by the class teacher. -Children come to school in Non Uniform. -Children can wear festive jumpers to school if they wish. |
From Monday 7th December 2020
On Monday 7th December, pupils may bring in their Christmas cards for their friends and teachers and post them in the school Christmas post-box. These will be distributed on the following week having been stored for 72 hours. Christmas cards should not arrive in school until the 7th and children will need to use the post box rather than handing them out individually. |
Friday 18th December – Christmas Carol Concert 10am
The children will take part in a mini Christmas Carol service delivered virtually by Mr Smith and Mrs Rogers. -Children will sing a selection of songs learnt in music lessons and from year group assemblies with Mr Smith and Mrs Rogers. -All pupils will finish with some traditional carols. -Goodbyes to staff members who are leaving. Friday 11th December
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will make a Christingle in class. Mr Smith and Mrs Rogers will lead a Christingle Assembly for each year group throughout the day. This will be a fundraising event for The Children’s Society. >> Parent Action – children in Years R, 1 and 2 should bring an orange for their Christingle and £1 to donate to The Children’s Society on Friday 11th December. |
