Our design and technology curriculum enables pupils to use their creativity and imagination when designing and making products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts.
Pupils will acquire a broad range of subject knowledge and be required to apply skills and understanding from other subject areas such as mathematics, science, computing and art.
Inquisitive and reflective evaluation of past and present design and technology will enable pupils to develop a critical understanding of its impact on daily life and the wider world.
By learning how to take risks, pupils will become independent, adaptable, resilient citizens. These ‘Skills for Life’ will prepare our pupils for their future educational paths and careers which, in Ipswich and the local area, can often be heavily based around design and technology.
