4C have weekly recorder lessons with Mrs Jones. This week we had a chance to try different recorders, and hear what they sounded like. We learned that the smaller the instrument, the higher the PITCH of the sound! From smallest to largest, these recorders are -
descant (we are learning to play these)
The tenor is quite a stretch for small fingers!
Last week, 25 pupils started violin lessons with Mrs Ingram. There were some brilliant responses from the children after their lessons:
"It was great!"
"We learned G D A E - we plucked the strings."
We're very proud of the children's enthusiasm, and that they got to their lessons on time.
Woodwind Players for SAMBA at Snape Maltings; Suffolk Schools' Celebration of Music - Friday 10th March 2017
Here are some files to help you practise your piece of music.
Remember that if your music seems too hard, you can ask your instrumental teacher to simplify it for you.
We will practise together later in the term.
This plays ALL parts very slowly.
This plays ALL parts a little quicker.
This track is quick! Use it ONLY as a challenge when you know your music VERY well.
