The boys put on a terrific performance as visitors to the St Peter's Band concert on Sunday! They were well supported by parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents, who also treated to a varied programme of music played by the band - from classical pieces to film music, which the boys enjoyed recognising and singing along to.
Audience participation was a must, and two of ours volunteered to conduct the band! Mr Buckley, who taught guitar here for many years, is the conductor of the St Peter's Band. There are opportunities for children who play woodwind, percussion or brass instruments to grade 1 level, to join a junior band on Monday evenings from 6pm to 7pm. It is free, and a great introduction into playing in a welcoming group. One of our former pupils, Evie Mallitt, now plays in St Peter's Band, and performed a clarinet solo in one of the pieces! Listen to some of the performances below. Make Your Own Kind of Music (boys' choir) Baggy Trousers - the band Evie's clarinet solo Comments are closed.
