Yesterday our amazing choir performed as part of the annual Schools' Celebration of Music, which is held at Snape Maltings, the world-famous concert hall right here in Suffolk. Each school performed their own 10 minute programme, and then we all got on stage to take part in the grand finale song "Falling Star", which had been specially composed for us by Aga Serugo-Lugo, an incredibly energetic personality, who had everyone on their feet! We are very proud of all our performers - they really were the most brilliant ambassadors for our school. Their skill and commitment has been exceptional; learning songs in parts, performing accompaniments on tuned instruments, singing in pairs and in small groups. Opportunities like this are invaluable life experiences, and give the children such a huge boost in confidence, and esteem. They will remember their achievements for a very long time to come. Many thanks to all the staff who made this happen - Mrs Garland (terrific piano accompaniments), Mrs Harries (who really helped our rehearsals and came to support us on the night), Mrs Rowland (who came to help us out for the whole day). Watch the slideshow, and read the children's comments about the day!
