4S clarinet players and 4M trumpet players had the most amazing day at the WCETs (whole class ensemble teaching) festival. It was the best festival yet - loads of instrumental ensemble playing and singing, all to a live band! Congratulations, SCMS, and thank you for all your hard work. Suffolk County Music Services tutors, Mr Whiteman and Mr McDowell, have been teaching the classes all year. The festival is a celebration of how much they have achieved. Several schools come together, with the instruments they have been learning - other schools brought cellos, cornets, Bb clarinets, etc. We have really enjoyed the South American theme this year - the songs were so much fun! The children learned to play accompaniments to the songs. Parents and carers were invited to come and listen to two concerts during the day, and were very impressed by how we performed. We were really proud of the behaviour of the children on the day, and how they performed. Well done, year 4. I hope you will continue to enjoy music in the future. Enjoy our photos, and listen to our music!Comments are closed.
