15 year 5 musicians signed up for recorder ensemble lessons on Friday afternoons!
We will be learning in small groups so that the children get as much personal tuition as possible.
On Friday, 14th October, we made a great start on descant (soprano) recorders; once the children have mastered the fingering of the descant and can read music more comfortably, we will be moving on to try the tenor recorder and the treble (alto) too. This will add some great harmony to our playing.
Lessons will be rotated, so that children do not miss the same class lesson every week. Children will be taking instruments home to practise during the week.
Our aim is to be able to perform in a Christmas concert!
Recorders come in different shapes and sizes!
