Sports Day Friday 22nd June - 10am for morning children and 2pm for afternoon children. Drop children off at normal time - already dressed in their PE kits. Then come back to Nursery at the times above.
This week we have been learning about snails and 3 came to visit us in the Nursery. Some of us were brave enough to hold them, whilst others just preferred to watch!
A busy half term coming up. Here are some dates for your diary.
Sports day Friday 22nd June - morning children 10am
afternoon children 2pm
Nursery trip - morning children Tuesday 3rd July
afternoon children Friday 6th July
Please note: the Nursery is closed on trip days.
Class party - Wednesday 18th July (details to follow)
This week we read the book Jasper's Beanstalk. We decided to grow something ourselves. So we planted some cress seeds and looked at them everyday to see if they had started to grow and they have!
Next week we are acting out Jack And The Beanstalk with Mr Horne 'Fee-Fi-Fo Fum..........!'
There is no PE next week so if you want to take the kit home and freshen it up please do. Then return it on the first day back after half term break.
Your child may (or may not) have told you that they are now taking part in Read Write Inc sessions each day. We started this at the beginning of this term and it is a gentle introduction to the scheme they will continue in Reception.
If you would like to learn more about it you can ask myself or just cut and paste the address below.
This week we read the book Aliens Love Underpants and took part in lots of alien activities. One of the things we took part in was making Shape Aliens. We had to name and choose a shape, then use our imagination to create an alien! Don't they look great!
We also visited the Secret Garden to find underpants the aliens had left behind!
This week you will receive a Maths Challenge pack. This is a card with a maths related question for you to complete with your child at home. The questions don't take long to complete and some can be done anywhere. The cards will be replaced each Tuesday and a new one given out.
This is not compulsory, but can help develop your child's love of number, shape and space. Have fun!
Welcome back to everyone. It's been a busy week with 3 new friends starting in the Nursery and a new playhouse outside! We have started our Space topic discussing what we already know about space during circle time. We have also made name rockets which look great.
The Weather was super warm at the end of the week and so we got the water out!
Please continue to send your child in with a hat and sun-cream on during the warm weather. Thanks
The new play house looks fabulous and everyone is enjoying using it. Thanks to the Rushmere Hall Fundraisers for donating the funds to buy it.
