The schools results fluctuate considerably due to the expansion of the school over the last few years. 2017 was the last year where the school had two forms of entry (60 pupils). From 2018 onwards, the school has had three forms of entry (90 pupils). As the school has grown, children have arrived at a number of different times. They did not all arrive in reception year A large proportion of the 2018 cohort were not part of the original cohort. Around 35% of these children arrived after Year 3. Focusing on the results which take into account the children who were with us in reception through to Year 6 reveal these pupils made better progress than those who arrived with us in KS2. Combine this with the fact that each of our year groups are different in character, make up and different levels of vulnerability mean that is difficult to compare one cohort to the next. If there is anything that needs to be focused on, it is the progress measures. This year progress was average in reading and writing but |
