Last week we went on our first school trip of the year to the Ipswich Transport Museum. We had great fun with our guides who showed us old buses, trams, fire engines and bikes to just name a few! More photos to follow... In school, we have also been learning how to play various board games, including giant snakes and ladders. Please feel free to continue this at home. During our numeracy, we have been learning to add two numbers together using a part-part-whole model and the numicon. Furthermore, in Literacy, we have been looking at more nursery rhymes and thinking how we could change some of the words. Learning to play board games and reciting nursery rhymes are a part of our Year 1 tool-kit for life which aims to aim on the children's knowledge and life skills. Please follow the link to see what other life skills the children are learning and what ones you'd like to do at home: https://www.rushmerehallprimaryschool.com/rushmere-toolkit-for-life.html Comments are closed.
