The KS2 children from the hearing support base represented Rushmere Hall in a Primary Panathlon at Ipswich School Sports Centre. The competition is organised by the Panathlon association. There were 9 different activities ranging from kurling, Boccia and table cricket. The children proudly represented Rushmere Hall with the help of two other children from different primary schools and won this South Suffolk tournament. The association is now in talks to arrange a national final where Rushmere will represent South Suffolk. This is likely to be held in London at the Copper Box Arena.
The children were absolute stars and worked brilliantly to try and get as many points as possible. Bring on the finals!!

Date: 8th March Venue: Inspire Suffolk Time: 11:00am - 13:00pm Six children from year 1 and 2 represented the school at the School Games Dodgeball Festival. We all had a fantastic time! The children showed perseverance and resilience and were the epitome of great team work. They worked well together improving in every game they played and show all round good sportsmanship towards the other teams. There were some strong throws from Isaac and solid catches from Connor. Autumn was super quick at retrieving the ball from the centre of the court. Louis-Feliks and Zoey used some excellent ducking and diving skills when dodging the balls that were aimed at them. Lucas showed great sportsmanship towards the other team, encouraging and congratulating them whenever possible. A massive thank you to all the parents that transported the team to and from the event and for those who stayed to support. Date: 7th March 2018 Venue: Inspire Suffolk Time: 3:00pm - 5:00pm six children from year 4 and 5 represented the school at the School Games Dodgeball Festival. We all had a great time! The children showed great team work, determination and resilience throughout the 11 matches. The team learnt that if they collected the 3 balls and threw them together at the opposite team they had more chance of getting the opposition out. There was some strong throws from Maja and solid catches from Matas. Gosha used some great movement skills when dodging balls that were thrown at her. A massive thank you to all the parents that transported the team to and from the event. Also to Miss Phillips and Miss Keeley for organising and supporting. Good luck to the KS1 Dodgeball festival team today! |
