On Thursday 1B went to the Ipswich Transport Museum. We had a fab morning looking at lots of different modes of transport. One of our favourites was the fire engine because we got to sit inside and got to wear some of the helmets. We also thought the tram was cool because the seats on the top deck could move depending on which way the tram is moving.
On Tuesday, 1P visited the Transport museum. During the trip we learnt all about different vehicles and how they have changed over time. One of the vehicles that the children remember and talk about the most is the trolley bus which they enjoyed exploring.
This week 1B have been focusing on number bonds in Maths. We listened and sang the number pairs song to help us remember them. We were able to order the number bonds using numicon and write them as number sentences. We made number bonds with money and even managed to solve missing number sentences using them. Next week we will be learning to add on a number line.
In English we have been learning lots of different nursery rhymes. We have sequenced them, made up our own versions and performed our favourite nursery rhymes to the class. We really enjoyed the singing and performance part. It was great to see everyone working as a part of a group and performing confidently.
Next week we have our trip to the transport museum on Thursday which we are looking forward to. Please remember a packed lunch as we are eating there and a coat as its cold inside the museum.
