This week we have been learning lots more about Christmas. We have been busy making paper chains to decorate our classroom ready for our party next week! We have also been continuing to practise our songs for our Christmas production on Friday. The children are super excited for their Christmas Show and we look forward to seeing you there! In Maths, we have been counting decorations on Christmas trees. In Literacy we have been describing a nativity picture using CVC words and simple sentences. Next Week Next week we will be finishing our Christmas topic. We are super excited about our class Christmas party on Monday afternoon and also our school trip to the Theatre on Wednesday afternoon. Maths Focus - We will completing some simple maths assessments Literacy Focus - We will be completing some simple literacy assessments DON'T FORGET Christmas Play - Friday 14th December 10.45 or 2.30pm - Please come to school wearing your school uniform and a Christmas Jumper! Class Christmas Party - Monday 17th December - Please bring party clothes in a named bag and don't forget to bring your party food donations too - thank you! This week we have been learning all about Christmas. We have been busy making lots of Christmas decorations, cards and calendars ready to sell at our Christmas Fair on Friday (7th December). We have also been talking about how, why and when Christmas is celebrated and practising the songs for our Christmas Production. In Maths, we have comparing sets of objects using the maths vocabulary 'More and Less.' In Literacy we have been completing some simple phonic assessments and practising our letter sounds. Next Week Next week we will be continuing to learn all about Christmas. We will be looking at the story of the Nativity and finding out about how Christmas is celebrated around the world.
