Thank you to those who brought in fruits and vegetables into class 1B Thursday. We had a fantastic Art lesson drawing still life pictures. First we looked closely at the fruits and veg and talked about the different shapes and sizes. Then we had a go at drawing them. We made sure that we didn't press hard with our pencil and drew careful shapes. It was quite tricky so we didn't give up, we tried and tried again. Once we were happy with our drawing, we used colouring pencils to colour our fruits and veg in. We talked about how the fruits weren't always one colour. We discovered that if we press lightly the colour will be lighter and if we press down harder, the colour will be darker. When we coloured, we tried to follow the lines of the fruit so that we stayed in between the lines. By the end of the lesson we all felt much more confident in our drawing skills and felt proud of ourselves. Next week in 1B, we are going to use paints instead of pencils, so please could you bring in some more fruit and veg on Thursday please. Have a lovely weekend! Comments are closed.
