This Week
This week we have been learning all about Birthdays. We have been talking about how we celebrate birthdays and about birthday parties. We have also been designing birthday cards and writing invitations. In our investigation tray, we have been using cooking items to make pretend cakes, carefully weighing out the ingredients and mixing them in the bowls. In Maths, we have been practising 'sharing.' We use birthday cakes and divided them equally between the toys, putting the same amount of cakes on each plate. As part of this week's Show and Tell the children brought in their baby photos and we had a great time trying to guess who was who!! Don't forget Stay & Play afternoon - Friday 23rd November at 2.30pm. You are invited to join your child in lots of crafts and activities and you'll get the chance to see all the exciting things your child does at school! It would be fantastic to see you there, we hope you can come along and share in the fun!! Next Week Next week, as part of our Celebrations topic, we will be continuing to find out all about Birthdays. We will be celebrating our class mascot, Pip the Penguin's birthday, and also learning about birthday traditions around the world.
