This week has been full of learning throughout each of the year 1 classes. In maths we have been learning how to subitise numbers using the dice dot patterns. We have worked with counters creating the patterns and then had a go at drawing them in our books. In English we have been reading the book Knuffle Bunny. In the story Trixie, the baby, looses her Knuffle Bunny. We talk about times when we had lost something and wrote about it. We also had a go at describing Knuffle Bunny thinking carefully about the adjectives we used. Some of us thought that Knuffle Bunny was soft and cuddly and others described her as yellow with long ears and a shiny black nose. During our topic lessons we have started to look at trees and have been able to name and label the different parts. We also read the story TREE which talked about the different seasons and the cycle that they go in. From this, some of us created trees showing the different seasons. These are just some of the exciting things that have happened in year 1 this week. We look forward to some more exciting learning next week! Comments are closed.
