We have finished our last day of reception with lots of fun, a breakfast picnic and a class party.
It has been a brilliant year, I am so proud of every child in Pandas, they have achieved so much. The last day of term is always a little sad as well as a celebration but this year I get to keep my fantastic class for new adventures in year 1, it is going to be a big change for all of us and we are very excited. Thank you to all the Panda parents for being so supportive of your children this year, enjoy your summer holidays with your families and I look forward to seeing everyone in September. Thank you so much for the very thoughtful cards, gifts and messages, I have been very spoilt!

Today I found out how clever some of the Pandas are at hula hooping!
Wow! Next week is our final week in Panda class. We will be talking about our favourite memories and our hopes for next year.
We finished our swimming lessons off with a very fun session so there will be no swimming in the final week for reception. We will collect all reading books and diaries in on Monday ready for Year One. On Tuesday it is moving up morning. The children will spend the morning in their new classroom with their Year One teacher. Please bring them to school at the usual time and the usual cloakroom doors. Tuesday after school is an open afternoon. This is a chance to have a look at some of your child's work, to have an informal chat with the teachers, and an opportunity to visit new classrooms/teachers. For show and tell on Wednesday the children can bring 'anything'! Thursday will be the last P.E lesson so kits can go home after school on Thursday. Things like welly boots and winter hats/gloves etc can go home now, its surprising how much stuff is lurking in the cloakroom! On Friday we have a breakfast picnic on the field so please can the children bring their breakfast to school that day. We would be grateful for donations of party snacks for a little celebration on the last afternoon. Biscuits, crisps, cakes etc rather than foods that need to go in the fridge. Please start bringing them in anytime. The mini beasts we are thinking about next week are worms.
For Show and Tell please bring something long! Monday will be our last swimming lesson and it will be a fun session. |
