It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the end of Year One, it has whizzed by! The children have worked incredibly hard and the progress is amazing. It has been especially rewarding for me to have seen how far they have come over the past two years.
Yesterday they spent the morning with Mrs Dunne in Year Two, she was very impressed with them on commented on their beautiful writing - well done 1I. All the children came back happy and excited. They will spend another transition morning with their new teacher on Friday. Our last P.E lesson is on Thursday so all kits can go home after school on Thursday. We are starting to clear the cloakroom out, most children have taken their welly boots home. I have already sent their reception class books home but most of their other books will be sent home on Monday. Please can all the children bring a strong, named plastic bag to school on Monday for all their books and work. I will keep their current English and Maths books as they will be passed up to Year Two. On Friday I will collect in all the children’s reading books and diaries to pass up. Please don’t bring book bags to school please on the final two days. Reports go home this week. Our final two days are pirate themed to finish our seaside topic. We are very busy with a breakfast picnic and whole school singing on the final day. |
