Our Nativity Stories

14/12/2018

This week we have been busy reading the nativity story, we then spent two English lessons retelling the story in our own words. The children wrote some fantastic stories, here are a few....

”Gabriel told Mary that she was going to have a special baby. He was going to be the good king. They went to Bethlehem to find a room to have the baby. Mary had the special baby. Joseph was shocked. The sheep were surprised that Mary had her baby. The angel told the shepherds that Mary hah had her baby. The wise men were giving the special baby good gifts. The donkey was taking them back to Nazareth so the baby could go to bed.”
Archie

“One day the angel said Mary will have a baby called Jesus. Mary and Joseph walked to Bethlehem. Baby Jesus was born in a stable and Mary was tired. Then Gabriel told the shepherds they must meet the new born king. The three wise men followed the star to Jesus. Mary and Joseph travelled home.”  Elijah

“ An angel told Mary you are going to have a baby king. They went to Bethlehem, it was a long long way away. The baby was born. It was called Jesus. Gabriel told the shepherds about it. Go to Bethlehem, follow the star. They found Jesus. They gave Jesus presents. They went back home. It took a long time.”
Naomi

”Mary was delighted to hear it. She was very happy. Mary was riding a donkey to Bethlehem with the baby in her tummy. It was moving around in her tummy. He was moving a lot. The baby was born on Christmas Day or Eve. Nobody knows if he was born on Christmas Eve or day. The shepherds are surprised. The angel said a new baby was born in Bethlehem. Wow said the shepherds. The three wise men had gifts for the new born king. Mary and Joseph travelled back to Nazareth.”
Evie

”An angel told Mary she was going to have a special baby. You are going to call it Jesus. You have to go to Bethlehem. They travelled on a donkey. It will be six hours said Joseph. Mary was tired because they were on a donkey and it was bumpy. Mary had her baby at 6 o’clock. He was so cute. Mary picked up the baby, they were so proud of it. An angel told the wise men that a new king came. Everyone was happy. Follow me she said and took them to Bethlehem. They gave them their gifts. The donkey took them home to Nazareth and Mary put the baby to bed.”
Matilda

“Gabriel said to Mary you are going to have a special baby son soon. His name is Jesus and he is really special. The angel was special too. Mary and Joseph had a long ride to Bethlehem. In the night Mary and Joseph had a baby. Gabriel said to the shepherds a new king was born. They were really shocked. The wise men had a present for the new born king. They followed the shining star and got to Bethlehem. They went back to Nazareth and Joseph went back to his job. They went home on a donkey and Jesus went too.”
Hollie-Mae

“An angel told Mary she was having a baby. They went to Bethlehem. Mary had a baby in a stable. The angel told the shepherds baby Jesus was born. The wise men gave baby Jesus presents. They went back home.”
Harry L-B

” One day an angel Gabriel came down to tell Mary that she will have a baby called Jesus. Mary and Joseph walked all the way to Bethlehem. Baby Jesus was born in a stable. The angel told the shepherds to meet the new born king. The wise men followed the shining star.”
Marley

”One day an angel came down from heaven to tell Mary she will have a baby called Jesus. Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem. Baby Jesus was born in a stable. The angels told the shepherds a baby king had been born. The three wise men followed the star of Jesus.”
Efren

”One day an angel came down to tell Marythat she will have a baby called Jesus. Mary and Joseph walked to Bethlehem which was a long way away. Baby Jesus was born in a stable because there was no room at the inn. The angel told the shepherd to go to see the new born king. The three wise men followed the star to Jesus.”
Emily

“An angel told Mary she would have a special baby. He will be the new king. Mary went to Bethlehem. In the stable she had a baby. She was so so proud. An angel told the wise men a new king is here. The wise men were pleased. King Herod wanted to kill the new king. The wise men went to Bethlehem to meet the new baby. The wise men gave a present to the baby. Mary went back home with the baby.”
