The theme for this half-term's work will be the sea and the seashore - lots of science and habitat work. We would like to ask that if you do happen to visit the seaside over the next few weeks you would be willing to bring back a few items - shells, pebbles, small driftwood, dried seaweed etc for our investigation table. Thank You
Welcome back to the final half term! We hope that everyone has had a wonderful half term holiday, and we are looking forward to hearing from the children how they made the most of the sunshine.
We hope to start swimming this week and there is a change to the timetable - Penguins will now swim on Friday morning from 10.00 - 11.00 in two groups. The children will need to bring appropriate swimming kit (Girls = one piece swimming costume. Boys = swimming trunks or tight shorts), a towel and a swimming hat. Goggles are not allowed unless there is a medical note. Hopefully the weather will be fine and we can take full advantage of our swimming slots. On the subject of fine weather, it is good to see that so many of the children are being sun-safe - wearing hats, drinking regularly and finding shade when they need to. As the weather gets warmer, this will be an ongoing message to the children and sending them in with sunscreen applied in in the morning is a great help. Obviously this is a busy half-term with much going on, but we will keep you up to date with all the planned events. |
