This week we have learning about shadows in Science. We have been using torches to investigate creating shadows and how to change their size. It has been fascinating! Have a go this weekend at identifying shadows during the day or making your own using torches.
Next week we will be making money containers for our D&T project. If your child has a purse/wallet we could look at, please could they bring it on Monday (with no money inside). These will help us with our research before we begin the design process. This Friday (29th) it is 3H's class assembly. Next Friday (6th December) there will be NO celebration assembly and all December birthdays will be celebrated on Friday 13th December. Thank you for your support. The Year 3 team In our science topic on light we have discovered that light travels in straight lines and that we only see objects when light is reflected off them into our eyes. With this in mind we used torches and mirrors to create our own mazes! Take a look!
We've had a busy week back at school!
We have received letters from our partner school in France and over the coming weeks, we will be writing back to the children in French during our lessons. This will be a wonderful opportunity to practise the French we have been learning. Yesterday, Mrs Beaumont gave a presentation about 'My Book Blog' which we will begin to use during the library sessions each week. The PowerPoint from the presentation has been uploaded to the Lower KS2 page on the school website alongside the spellings for the term. We look forward to another productive half term.
