3C have had another busy, fun filled week of learning.
Well done to all the children who completed the swimathon on Monday. Everyone embraced the challenge and helped to encourage each other when energy levels were running low. Try to collect your sponsor money this weekend and then hand to the office next week. This week has been refugee week in school. In class we have been learning about what a refugee is and how they might feel if they had to flee their home. To help us gain a better understanding of what a refugee is, we read the book, The Colour of home. How did Hassan feel when he arrived at the new school? What did he paint at first? What colours would you use to paint your home? Thank you to those who attended the Refu-tea party this week. It was a wonderful event. Please remember sun hats and water bottles as the weather warms up. Swimathon! Year 3 will be completing the Rushmere Swimathon during their Monday lesson. Children will swim aided or unaided for as many laps as they can. This will be a fun experience for the children.
Please remember to get your sponsor forms completed and returned to the school office. How far do you think you will be able to swim? |
