A quick reminder that on Wednesday after school, the children will be exhibiting the rainforest animals that they have made using recycled materials. Information signs have been made to support these exhibits and so you are able to complete an accompanying quiz should you wish to do so. Refreshments will also be provided for a small fee, which will go towards subsidising the Year 4 trip to Kentwell Hall later in the term.
We hope to see many of you there and that this time we won't have any rain! It's hard to believe that we are in the final term of Year 4 - this year has flown past! This week you should be receiving an overview of the topics that the children will be learning this term, but I have also attached a copy below for your information. It continues to be a packed curriculum; we have introduced some new topics this term which should link better to other curriculum areas, as well as exploit the children's prior knowledge, so we hope the learning will be more purposeful and interesting for the children. You will also be receiving an updated homework schedule that links to the new topics that the children will be learning. I would be most grateful if you could encourage your children to look at this and complete the minimum requirement of 2 pieces, as the uptake in the Spring Term was disappointing.
I can't believe we've got through another term! The year is flying past so quickly. It was disappointing that we couldn't share the outcomes of our rainforest animals in the Secret Garden with you due to bad weather, but this will be re-arranged for the beginning of next term when we hope the weather will be much more reliable!
I hope you have a restful Easter. |
