![]() In History this week, we have been learning about Roman soldiers and life in the Roman army. We have learnt lots of facts including how women were not allowed to be in the army and how the soldiers had to march for 20 miles a day! The children have been showing an inquisitive attitude and asking some really interesting questions. In English today, we have started a new book called 'Meerkat Mail'.
Today, we discussed what we could see on the front cover of the book and predicted what we thought the story will be about. For parents that were unable to make Meet the Teacher on Friday, I gave your child two slips (please check book bags!)
One for photo permissions and one for Acceptable use of ICT. Please can you sign and return these to school ASAP. Many thanks, Miss Redgrave Following on from the Meet the teacher meeting on Friday, I have checked the 'Interactive Resources' website and the login and password are as follows:
login: rushmerehall password: rushmerehall https://www.interactive-resources.co.uk/ If you click on 'Folders' and then 'Year 3', you will find a selection of Maths games and activities that you can play with your child or they can play independently! Any questions, please let me know. Enjoy! Miss Redgrave Thank you to everyone who was able to come along to 'Meet the teacher' this evening. For those of you who were unable to attend, please find a copy of the PowerPoint below. Photo permission slips - if you were unable to make the meeting, I will give your child a copy of the slip on Monday and this needs to be returned by Wednesday (it is no longer opt out). Acceptable use of ICT slips - again, these were given out at tonight's meeting but a copy will be given to your child on Monday. Please complete and return as soon as you can. If you would like to make an appointment to meet with me to discuss anything about your child, their new class and Year 3, please speak to me before or after school or phone the office and we can arrange this. Many thanks - have a lovely weekend. Miss Redgrave Just a reminder that my 'Meet the teacher' presentation will be this Friday (22nd) from 3.45 - 4.15pm.
If you are unable to make it, a copy of the Powerpoint slides will be available on the blog shortly afterwards. Look forward to seeing lots of you there. Miss Redgrave Wow! We have had a really busy first week back and the children have settled in really well to their new class and year group.
Please find a copy of the timetable below. The most important thing to note is that the children will be having PE on Tuesday and Thursday each week so they need their PE kit on those days. |
