What a great start to Year 5!
We have been super busy the last couple of days, settling in to life in the Year 5/6 block. We have started learning about our class characters and why they are inspirational people. We have also been learning about place value in maths and we have started our first topic on Coasts, looking at the Water Cycle. It has been brilliant to see everybody working hard and trying their best - I have been particularly impressed with the excellent presentation in books, shown by the children & their enthusiasm towards their Art work on creating a Coastal scene using watercolours. Pictures to come soon - watch this space! Please remember to bring your P.E kits in if you haven't done so already. On Tuesday, we have a squash roadshow and lessons with the P.E coaches also start next week. Spellings will start next week and the children will be bringing home a termly list of spellings which we will be testing each week. Please remember to come and see us next Tuesday afternoon at the meet the teacher sessions, where we will update you on the year ahead. If you can't attend, you will find the presentations on the Year 5/6 section of the website, along with our class timetables and the homework for this term.
