We haven't posted in a while but we have been very busy working hard this term! This side of half term has flown by quickly and I look forward to meeting you again this week to discuss how well the children are doing so far.
We have had great fun in Science this term, investigating forces, making our own boats and racing them and even making our own catapults! Attached are some pictures of the catapults we made, we then carried out group investigations to see how effective they were and analysed which forces were in action. In maths week earlier on this term, we created 3D shapes out of spaghetti and went on a shape hunt in the secret garden. It was amazing to see the children really stretching their learning and trying to make some impressive, rather large structures of shapes! In English, we have become fully involved with our book 'Stormbreaker.' We have just finished creating and describing our ultimate villain's lair. In Geography, we have been looking at erosion and how this had an effect on the residents of Hemsby. Some very funny acting skills were shown as we put ourselves in the shoes of the local people! |
Year 6Each week we will update our blog with activities, pictures and comments on what we have been learning! Archives
