Two more children from 4S have used their imaginations to create some stunning board games linked to the Rainforest for their homework. The creativity on display is most impressive. It is clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into designing and creating these games and the children have had great fun at lunchtimes playing them with their friends, which has been a joy to witness. There is still time to hand homework in for the Spring Term, as there are a number of children yet to complete an activity...
We've had such fun this week making 3D shoes. The children designed and made their shoes with such enthusiasm; although many of the designs did change rather dramatically and the new designs originated rather organically when they saw the resources available to them! I have attached the finished products below for you to enjoy...
I promised some of the children that I would put a copy of our latest display on the blog, so here it is! All of the children did a brilliant job of creating everything that you can see and I'm sure you'll agree, it looks great. It even includes real Rainforest animal noises!
What a fabulous time we all had on Tuesday at Foxburrow Farm. Although it was rather wet underfoot, the children fully engaged in all of the exciting activities that had been organised by the farm staff, that even included sitting in a rain forest with many of the sounds you would hear.
Throughout the day the children:
We've had a lovely couple of afternoons investigating toothpaste on behalf of Ivor Cavity! We've been finding out how efficient different brands are at cleaning and also their staying power on toothbrushes... this proved to be quite a messy affair! Next week we are planning on making our own toothpaste, which I know the children are looking forward to.
To celebrate World Book Day, 4S visited the children of 1G where they all sat together and shared their favourite books. It was so lovely to observe the interactions that were taking place; 4S were so supportive of the younger readers and most encouraging. We finished off the visit with some singing from The Greatest Showman. There's no doubt that 4S are all amazing singers but we are all in agreement that Zac is the class's 'greatest showman' with such enthusiastic singing!
Each week we will update our blog with activities, pictures and comments on what we have been learning!
