It's Tuesday and I hope everyone has had a good day and managed to get outside for a little while.
Tomos and I did Joe this morning; some schoolwork and a lot of lego building. (Photos to follow when it's finished!)
I started some work in the garden this afternoon (with a little help from Tomos).
Gethin was brave enough to let his dad loose with the hair clippers earlier and he did quite a good job! Tomos's turn tomorrow!
Had a good day in school on Friday. We planted trees; pond dipped and found some fantastic newts; got Mrs H's new paint brushes out and did some water-colour painting and also managed a game of rounders too!
Well, the weekend was fun and I've managed to get the first coat of paint on the bench. It looks like a giant marshmallow!
As poor old George is not allowed out, we've been out walking without him. Ya Ya, my cat, decided that she would like to come with us instead!
The Plowman family are now getting into a fairly good routine. We do our Wicks Workout at 9am (although Edward is finding the Lego a little bit more interesting at the moment), then today I helped Matilda with her school work that she had been sent. Most days we are going for a walk around the fields near where we live - whilst trying to keep at least 2m away from everybody else but at the same time not appear to be rude and ignore them. The weather today was amazing so we made the most of it. We've also been keeping in touch with all our extended family by video calling aunties, uncles, nannas and grandads etc. I think we might actually be seeing more of them now than we normally do!
I hope you are all safe and well and keeping as busy and active as you can.

Well hello again!
George, the spaniel, was dropped off at the vets this morning for his cruciate ligament operation. The orthopedic surgeon, James, has just phoned to say all went well and I can pick him up later.
Back to yesterday- stayed outside as long as possible in the sunshine. Haven't quite finished painting the bench but I'll post some photos when it's done.
Thought you might like to meet two of my rather noisy neighbours.
This is Bramble (left) and Pollyanna (right). They are very friendly donkeys, especially if you've got a treat in your pocket!
Here's a pretty, view of the church next door to my house. It definitely feels like spring!
Hello Year 6. I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
Today I was in school and although it was a little strange to be there with so few people, it was great to work with lots of children from different age groups.
This morning we did a really fun activity which involved designing and making paper aeroplanes. We looked at various designs, made our own versions and then flew them in the hall. Well done to everyone who had a go. If you weren’t in school today but would like to have a go at the activity, there is now a link to it (and lots of similar ideas) on the activities page of the school website.
I didn’t get to do the Joe Wicks workout today but my family (and Mr Rix) tell me that it was a tough one. What a shame I missed it! I’ll be there tomorrow - bright and early!
Take care everybody.
Mr P x
This cat doesn't seem to need any exercise, whereas I've now found a new reason to look forward to weekends - 2 days off the YouTube morning PE. My legs are aching.
Hope you're all fine. Get your daily exercise!
Another sunny day- yipee!
I'll be out later spotting wildlife as Mr Rix and Mr Plowman have inspired me to go searching for signs of spring. Perhaps you can see signs of spring from your bedroom window?
It's nearly time for Joe and you'll be pleased to know that Tomos is now joining in too.
We decided on chocolate cookies yesterday and as we're doing so much exercise, a cookie is allowed!
I've found some wood paint in the cupboard so later, Tomos and I are going to paint a wooden bench. The only issue is the paint is pink! Tomos says this will be fine as it's his favourite colour. We'll have to wait and see.
Keep spotting wildlife, watching Horrible Histories (best history lessons) and anything else that you enjoy.
Catch up tomorrow, Mrs Hxx
Loving the frog spawn Mr Rix. Not to be outdone, we might have some new life in our back garden too. We had noticed a lot of activity around the bird box in our garden over the last few days so today I decided to carefully and quickly have a look. Brilliantly, we have a mother blue tit sitting in the box, possibly with some eggs. Fingers crossed they get on ok - I’ll keep you all updated.
Like Mrs H, we did the Joe Wicks workout this morning. My legs still hurt from yesterday but it does give you a lift in the morning so I thoroughly recommend it.
My other big achievement today was helping my son build a pretty impressive (even if I do say so myself) wooden railway layout. I’m not sure who had more fun, me or him.
Hope you are all keeping safe and well.
The weather's fine, so it's good to get some fresh air in the back garden. The frogs have been busy. The frogspawn is about 2 weeks old and you can see the little black embryos changing shape. I don't know how long it will take before the tadpoles are formed but there's a bit of science for you. I'd like to know if you've any great mini-beasts around your place to show us (I also found a slug in the kitchen). We could see how many different species we could find. Make the most of the good weather. Stay safe.
Well, I'm definitely a little achy this morning after doing the Joe Wicks workout yesterday! It was pretty tough! A really good way to start the day though so why not give it a try?
I can't do the workout live this morning as George has got his vet's appointment. He's still limping and just not himself. I'll catch up with Joe later.
Tomos and I are going to check out the BBC website today for fun educational things to do. We're also going to be baking (not sure what yet, but it will involve sugar) and we will definitely be out in the garden playing football. Have a good day and I'll check in with you tomorrow.
P.S. - I loved Mr Rix's house drawing!
Each week we will update our blog with activities, pictures and comments on what we have been learning!
