Today has been most exciting for 4S as a Zoo Keeper from Africa Alive has visited. The Zoo Keeper spent an hour talking to the children and the time just flew by. They were so engaged and asked some excellent questions. Following her visit, they all constructed enrichment toys for the zoo's animals which were taken back to Africa Alive for the animals to play with. Hopefully we will be sent some photos of the animals playing with them. Take a look at the lovely pictures below, that Lexie took for us. Didn't she do a great job!
I can't believe we are already entering our third term in Year 4 - the year has just flown by! I hope you all had a super break and that everyone is well rested in time for another busy term and hopefully some warmer weather!
You will all be shortly receiving the LKS2 newsletter which will detail all of the topics we will be studying during the summer and the dates for your diaries that we currently have, which includes an exciting topic trip to West Stow Anglo-Saxon village, as well as some planned visitors to school.
A reminder also that we will be swimming this term and lessons start this week on Thursday 19th April, 2018. There is an expectation that all children swim as this is part of the National Curriculum. Mr Fykin, in his last newsletter to you, explained the procedure should your child need to wear goggles. If this is the case, please make sure the relevant paperwork has been completed and returned to school, as without this your child will not be permitted to use their goggles.
Finally I would like to welcome Mrs Hoey, who is returning from maternity leave to wok in 4BD on Thursdays and Fridays following Miss Bozier's departure.
Each week we will update our blog with activities, pictures and comments on what we have been learning!
