Apologies for the late blog! The children really wanted to input on these each week.
Last week we finished the book 'the Man on the Moon' and even read the 2nd book with alien dog! We have started 'A bus of their own' today. This book covers some deep discussions which the children have dealt with well. We all enjoyed learning about Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King today. Through this we learnt about discrimination and how it links to ourselves. We had a discussion about how we could make life fair for everybody and how much better things are today. In the last few days we have been enjoying 'Fantastic Mr Fox' by Roald Dahl on audio book and thinking about different characters and predicting the story. In other news... Our whiteboard is on the way to hospital and we hope it will be better soon!

Welcome back to the start of a new year!
It's been a busy and challenging week back for all, learning new routines and rules, especially as they are now in Key Stage Two. The class has settled well into year 3 and are already showing maturity and respect. Although I don't believe that they knew what was coming! The children have been put into their Pride Teams and have already collected lots of points! They have thoroughly enjoyed reading 'The Man on the Moon' (Bob) during literacy and engaged well in activities. So much so, that the children thought they saw Bob on the Moon during school time! We've been working very hard, which means that we've been getting very tired. As well as learning about space they've made lots of friends, worked hard on their handwriting and listening! I have listened to the class read and i'm impressed with their enthusiasm to learn. Evelyn "I've had a happy week in year three!" Dylan "Its been an exciting week to our year already!" Kyle "I've enjoyed learning about space" Oashia "We love our new teacher" |
