![]() This week has been a busy week! We've had many assessments in English and Mathematics, but the children have worked their socks off. Other than that we've explored the 'Space Race' and Space Suits in Science. The children loved the fact that Astronauts have to wear nappies! A large proportion of the class went with Singing Squad Friday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it, coming into the class with big smiles at the end of the day. I'm sure you've heard all about it! In Mathematics we have been focusing on mental addition and using the formal method. Their efforts and perseverance to learn is inspiring. Spellings will be tested and given each Thursday, as the timetable has been changed. The children are rising to the challenge and beginning to use the vocabulary in their writing already!
A massive well done to the class for their hard work this week. You've focused and shown me unseen abilities, you should be proud of yourselves! Also, well done to Toby for getting the Learning Award certificate this week. Love the fact that you made a three-times table power point and taught yourself. A quick reminder - Parents evening appointments will be on a clip board in the entrance at Reception. However, at the end of the day I will hold it with me, so you can make appointments after school on the playground. The later night will be on the Thursday until 8pm, whilst Tuesday's will run until 5pm.
