Firstly apologies for not blogging last week. I had been so busy at school that I took my laptop home over the weekend with the intention of updating the blog, but I had some technical problems with my computer that took a few days to fix.
Today has been a great success and thank you so much to all of the adults that came into class to help prepare our crafts for the Christmas Fayre in a couple of weeks time. The children made some high quality gifts that we are all very proud of and hope will sell well and make the class a lot of profit. As a class we have discussed how much it costs to produce the gifts and so how much we will need to charge to cover our costs and make a profit. To that end 4S have decided to charge £1 for the Christmas tree decorations, £2 for the majority of the tea light holders and £1.50 for the few small tea light holders. We are also planning to make Christmas wrapping paper, Hot Chocolate Stirrers and possibly one other novelty gift, but you'll have to visit our stool to find out more! Obviously if you would like to purchase the gift that your child has made, you are welcome to bring money into school at any time and then this can be brought home by your child. With such excitement it is easy for children to become rather excitable, but I thought the behaviour and commitment to their tasks today was exceptional, so well done everyone!
I have attached some photos of the morning's fun which clearly illustrates how successful it was.
Each week we will update our blog with activities, pictures and comments on what we have been learning!
